Follow these steps to install Modrinth App, add the modpack, and connect to the server.

01
Download & install Modrinth App

Modrinth App is a free, open-source Minecraft launcher with built-in modpack support and a clean interface.

modrinth.com/app
  • Choose the installer for your OS — Windows (.exe), macOS (.dmg), or Linux.
  • Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts.
  • Launch Modrinth App once installation is complete.
02
Log in to your Minecraft account

Modrinth App requires a Microsoft account linked to a valid Minecraft licence.

  • Look for the account / sign-in option and add your Microsoft account.
  • A browser window will open — sign in to your Microsoft account and authorise the app.
  • Once authorised, your Minecraft username will appear in the launcher. You're ready to go.
Don't have Minecraft? You need to own Minecraft: Java Edition. Purchase it at minecraft.net before proceeding.
03
Download the Craftworld modpack file

Download the modpack file to your computer first — you'll import it into Modrinth App in the next step.

Download latest.mrpack
  • Click the button above to download latest.mrpack — save it somewhere you can find it (e.g. your Downloads folder).
  • Or copy the direct link and paste it into your browser's address bar:
https://craftworld.borkjustice.dk/latest.mrpack
04
Import the modpack into Modrinth App

Import the .mrpack file you just downloaded to create a ready-to-launch Craftworld instance.

Modrinth App — + → Modpack base → Import modpack
Select file
latest.mrpack
Instance name (optional)
Craftworld
Cancel Import
  • In Modrinth App, click the + button on the home screen.
  • Select Modpack base, then Import modpack.
  • Pick the latest.mrpack file you downloaded.
  • Confirm the import — Modrinth App will extract the modpack, which may take a minute.
05
Increase RAM allocation

Modrinth App defaults to a low memory limit that will cause the modpack to stutter or crash. Give it more RAM before launching.

Craftworld instance → Settings → Java → Maximum memory
Maximum memory (MB)
8192
▸ 4096 MB minimum  ·  16384 MB maximum
  • Click the three dots on the Craftworld instance and choose Edit, or open the instance settings.
  • Go to the Java section and find Maximum memory.
  • Set it to at least 4096 MB (4 GB). A value around 8192 MB (8 GB) works well for most machines.
  • Do not go above 16384 MB (16 GB) — giving Java too much RAM can actually hurt performance.
Not sure how much to set? A good rule of thumb is half your total system RAM, up to 8 GB. So if you have 16 GB of RAM, set it to 8192 MB.
06
Launch the modpack

Start the game from Modrinth App to load all the mods correctly.

  • Double-click the Craftworld instance, or select it and click Play.
  • Minecraft will start and load all the mods — the first launch may take a little longer than usual.
  • Wait until you reach the main menu before continuing.
Mods not loading? The modpack uses AutoModpack to download mods on first run. If needed, connect to the server once and enter the fingerprint it prompts you for (ask Bork or Dan). Restart Minecraft and the mods will download automatically.
07
Connect to the server

The Craftworld server is already included in the modpack's server list — no need to add it manually.

  • From the main menu, click Multiplayer.
  • Select Craftworld from the server list and double-click to connect.
Getting a "not whitelisted" error? The server is whitelist-only. Ask Bork or Dan to add you — just send them your Minecraft username and they'll get you in.
You're in!
Welcome to Craftworld. If you run into issues, double-check that you launched Minecraft through Modrinth App with the Craftworld instance selected.
